Amul Begins World's Largest Curd Plant Project

The foundation ceremony was held for the world's largest curd manufacturing plant under the Amul Bengal Dairy Project. The project is being established at Howrah Food Park in West Bengal.

The Amul Bengal Dairy Project is being developed with an estimated investment of ₹700 crore. Once fully operational, the dairy will be capable of processing around 30 lakh litres of milk per day. Its planned capacity includes approximately 1,000 metric tonnes of curd and cultured dairy products daily. The project is expected to strengthen dairy cooperatives, cold-chain infrastructure and market access for milk producers in West Bengal.
