WMO Issues 2026-2030 Climate Outlook

WMO said global temperatures are likely to remain at or near record levels during the next five years.

The World Meteorological Organization released the Global Annual to Decadal Climate Update 2026-2035. The report said global average temperatures are likely to remain at or near record levels during the next five years. It projected annual global mean near-surface temperatures for 2026 to 2030 to be 1.3 to 1.9 degrees Celsius above the 1850-1900 average. The report is important for climate change, environment and disaster management preparation.
