VB-G RAM G Convergence Framework Reviewed

The Rural Development Secretary chaired an inter-ministerial consultation on the convergence framework under the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 before its implementation from 1 July 2026.

A high-level inter-ministerial consultation on the Draft Convergence Framework under the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 was held in New Delhi. Representatives from 18 ministries and departments participated in the meeting. The framework is linked to decentralized, Panchayati Raj Institution-led rural development planning. It includes the Viksit Gram Panchayat Plan and a single-plan multi-funding approach for rural priorities such as water security, livelihoods, infrastructure and climate resilience.
