Smart Warehousing System Launched for Foodgrain Storage

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi launched a Smart Warehousing System to modernise foodgrain storage and strengthen the management of FCI and CWC warehouses.

The Smart Warehousing System was launched by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. It is designed to improve monitoring, transparency and efficiency in foodgrain storage operations. Best-performing warehouses of the Central Warehousing Corporation and Food Corporation of India were also felicitated under the Depot Darpan framework. The initiative is relevant to food security, public distribution and technology-enabled governance.
