Small Hydro Power Guidelines Launched

MNRE launched Small Hydro Power Development Scheme Guidelines for FY 2026-27 to FY 2030-31.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy organised a National Workshop on the Small Hydro Power Development Scheme. During the workshop, the Small Hydro Power Development Scheme Guidelines for FY 2026-27 to FY 2030-31 were formally launched. The scheme focuses on reviving and expanding small hydro power potential, especially in hilly, remote and border regions. Small hydro power is relevant for renewable energy, local development and grid stability.
