Rural Development Summit Charts Developed Villages Roadmap
At the Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan in New Delhi, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan outlined a joint Centre-State roadmap for ‘Developed Villages–Developed India’ and said the VB-GRAM-G scheme will roll out nationwide from 1 July 2026.
The second day of the Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan brought together Rural Development Ministers from 29 states and Union Territories on one platform. The meeting reviewed flagship rural schemes and discussed faster implementation through technology, transparency and better coordination between the Centre and states. During the event, the minister also launched the Lakhpati Didi Dashboard and the SHE LEAPS platform for rural women, while stressing that no eligible family should be left out of housing support.
