President of India’s Sikkim Visit Announced

President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Sikkim from May 26 to 28 was officially announced.

The President’s Secretariat announced that President Droupadi Murmu would visit Sikkim from May 26 to May 28, 2026. Her programme included engagements at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Sikkim University and Nathu La Pass. The visit also included events related to Sikkim Police. The topic is relevant because Sikkim is a strategically important border state in the North-East.
