President Begins Three-Nation State Visit

President Droupadi Murmu began state visits to Moldova, North Macedonia and Romania. The three-nation diplomatic tour was scheduled from 19 to 25 July 2026.

The presidential visit was organised to strengthen India's political, economic and cultural relations with the three European countries. The programme included meetings with national leaders, delegation-level discussions and engagements with Indian communities. Moldova and North Macedonia are located in Eastern and Southeastern Europe respectively, while Romania is a member of the European Union and NATO. Such high-level visits form an important part of India's diplomatic outreach to Europe.
