PMAY-U 2.0 Sanctions Over 2.13 Lakh Houses

The 7th CSMC meeting under PMAY-Urban 2.0 approved over 2.13 lakh additional houses for eligible urban poor families.

The approval was given at the 7th meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee under PMAY-U 2.0. With this, total sanctions under PMAY-U 2.0 crossed 16.13 lakh houses. The newly sanctioned houses include 1.89 lakh under Beneficiary Led Construction and 23,602 under Affordable Housing in Partnership across 16 States. The scheme prioritises women-led or joint ownership, and 97% of sanctioned houses under PMAY-U 2.0 have been allotted to women.
