PM-NAPS Special Intervention Extended in North-East

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship extended the special PM-NAPS intervention for the North-Eastern Region for FY 2026-27.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship launched the extension of the Special Intervention for Promotion of Apprenticeship in the North-Eastern Region under PM-NAPS. The initiative will be implemented by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati. The target has been raised to 30,000 apprentices for FY 2026-27, with 15,000 opportunities outside the North-East and 15,000 within the region. The government has earmarked ₹57.58 crore for the initiative through the North-Eastern Region component of PM-NAPS.
