PM Modi Meets Mauritius PM in Victoria

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam in Victoria, Mahe on the sidelines of Seychelles’ Golden Jubilee celebrations. The two leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral cooperation and progress under India’s Special Economic Package for Mauritius.

The meeting underlined the centrality of Mauritius in India’s neighbourhood and Indian Ocean outreach. Both sides discussed projects linked to healthcare, connectivity, sustainable development and the blue economy. The leaders also reaffirmed the importance of Vision MAHASAGAR, the enhanced strategic partnership and a shared commitment to the Global South.
