PM Addresses G7 Session on Safe AI Rollout

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the G7 session on safe, rapid and efficient rollout of Artificial Intelligence in Evian, France.

At the G7 session, India emphasised human-centric AI and the need to keep human dignity at the centre of technological development. The Prime Minister highlighted child safety, misinformation, deepfakes and cyber fraud as key concerns in AI governance. India suggested safe-by-design AI systems, common standards, testing frameworks, regulatory sandboxes and wider access to AI technologies for the Global South. The statement is important because AI governance is becoming a major issue in global digital diplomacy.
