The Union Cabinet approved construction of a new coastal highway from Rameshwar to Paradeep in Odisha. The project is part of a coastal highway with a total length of 163.180 km and will be implemented in two packages on Hybrid Annuity Mode. It is expected to improve coastal connectivity, logistics movement and regional economic activity. The project is important for infrastructure, coastal development and transport planning topics.
