NCW Submits Muslim Women Rights Report

The National Commission for Women submitted a recommendatory report on rights of Muslim women in India to three ministries.

The National Commission for Women submitted a comprehensive recommendatory report on the rights of Muslim women in India. The report was submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Minority Affairs. It followed a national-level consultation on legal, social and constitutional rights of Muslim women. The item is relevant for constitutional rights, women’s empowerment and statutory bodies.
