NCRPB Retains Existing NCR Boundary

The 42nd meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board decided to retain the existing geographical extent of the NCR.

The 42nd meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Minister Manohar Lal. The Board decided to retain the existing geographical extent of the National Capital Region. Under Regional Plan-2041, four semi-greenfield cities described as Namo Cities are proposed to be developed. The Board also decided to formulate a scheme to incentivise state governments to increase green cover across the region.
