NCORD Unveils Vision Document on Drug Control 2026-2029

Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired the 10th Apex Level Meeting of NCORD in New Delhi and unveiled the Vision Document on Drug Control 2026-2029. He also launched the Online Drugs Disposal Fortnight Campaign and released the NCB Annual Report 2025.

The Ministry of Home Affairs used the NCORD platform to sharpen India's anti-narcotics strategy for the next three years. The roadmap focuses on enforcement, intelligence and operations, precursor and synthetic drug control, demand reduction and rehabilitation, and capacity building with coordination. A target was also set to destroy narcotic substances worth over Rs 6,000 crore weighing 2,09,500 kg under the disposal campaign. The government also e-inaugurated NCB zonal offices in Jammu and Guwahati, indicating stronger institutional expansion in narcotics control.
