NBA Reconstitutes Agrobiodiversity Expert Committee

The National Biodiversity Authority reconstituted the Agrobiodiversity Expert Committee and appointed Padma Shri Dr P. L. Gautam as its Chair.

The National Biodiversity Authority reconstituted the Expert Committee on Agrobiodiversity under Section 13(1) of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The committee has been reconstituted for one year to advise on conservation, sustainable use and access and benefit-sharing of agricultural biodiversity. Padma Shri Dr P. L. Gautam, a noted agricultural scientist and former Chairperson of NBA and PPVFRA, was appointed Chair. The Chairperson of PPVFRA will serve as Co-Chair of the committee.
