National Anti-Doping Acts Come Into Force

The Government of India notified the commencement of the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022 and the National Anti-Doping Amendment Act, 2025.

The Government of India brought into force the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022 and the National Anti-Doping Amendment Act, 2025. The legal framework strengthens India’s anti-doping system by covering testing, result management, education, intelligence and investigation. It aligns India’s anti-doping framework with the World Anti-Doping Code and the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport. The move strengthens athlete protection, institutional independence and fairness in sports governance.
