MoD Signs ₹425 Crore Navy Generator Contract

The Ministry of Defence signed a ₹425 crore contract with Bharat Forge Limited for 12 sets of 1.25 MW Marine Gas Turbine Generators for the Indian Navy.

The Ministry of Defence signed a contract with Bharat Forge Limited, Pune, for 12 sets of 1.25 MW Marine Gas Turbine Generators for the Indian Navy. The contract is worth around ₹425 crore and was signed under the Buy Indian category. The equipment will have minimum 60 percent indigenous content. Marine gas turbine generators support key power requirements of naval platforms and the deal strengthens indigenous defence manufacturing.
