Mission Senehjori Launched for Muga Silk Promotion

Mission Senehjori was launched in Assam to support Muga silk production and livelihoods.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched Mission Senehjori. The initiative focuses on strengthening the Muga silk sector and supporting traditional artisans. Muga silk is unique to Assam and holds geographical indication status. The mission is expected to generate employment and boost rural incomes.
