Mahendragiri Frigate Commissioned into Indian Navy

India commissioned the indigenous stealth frigate Mahendragiri under Project 17A to enhance naval capabilities.

The Indian Navy commissioned Mahendragiri, the seventh ship under Project 17A stealth frigate programme. Built with advanced stealth features, it strengthens India's maritime security and blue-water capabilities. The warship is equipped with modern weapons, sensors, and network-centric warfare systems. This marks another step toward defence indigenisation under Atmanirbhar Bharat.
