Maharashtra Signs Rs 6.5 Lakh Crore Nuclear Energy MoUs
Maharashtra signed MoUs worth Rs 6.5 lakh crore with major companies for nuclear energy projects with 25,400 MW capacity.
The Government of Maharashtra signed Memorandums of Understanding with NTPC, Adani Power, Reliance Industries and Lalitpur Power Generation Company for nuclear energy projects. The total proposed investment is Rs 6.5 lakh crore, with a planned generation capacity of 25,400 MW. Reliance Industries plans to invest Rs 2 lakh crore for Bharat Small Reactors and Small Modular Reactors at Purnagad. Adani Power, NTPC and Lalitpur Power Generation Company are also expected to invest in major nuclear power capacity projects in Maharashtra. The move supports clean energy expansion, industrial growth and long-term energy security.
