Maharashtra Legislature Moves Towards NeVA Adoption

Maharashtra Legislature expressed commitment to adopt the National e-Vidhan Application under the Digital India Programme.

A meeting was held at Vidhan Bhawan, Mumbai for implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application in Maharashtra Legislature. The meeting concluded with consensus to expedite the signing of an MoU among the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat and the Department of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Maharashtra. NeVA is a Mission Mode Project under Digital India for digitising all 37 State and Union Territory Legislatures. The project has an approved total outlay of ₹673.94 crore and aims to create paperless, transparent and citizen-centric legislative functioning.
