JEEVAN App and SHATAYU Dashboard Launched for Senior Citizens

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment launched the JEEVAN mobile app and SHATAYU dashboard to strengthen elderly care services in India.

Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar launched the Joint Elderly Empowerment and Virtual Assistance Network, known as JEEVAN, along with the SHATAYU Geriatric Caregiver Dashboard. The JEEVAN app provides information on government schemes, welfare programmes, emergency assistance, support services and senior citizen homes. The SHATAYU dashboard helps track the availability of geriatric caregivers across districts and states. The initiative is important for India’s social welfare framework as the country’s elderly population continues to grow.
