India to host BRICS Women Working Group meeting in Kochi

India announced that it will host the BRICS Women Working Group Meeting in Kochi on 6–7 July 2026. The meeting will advance cooperation on women-led development and women’s empowerment priorities under India’s BRICS chairship.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development said senior government officials from BRICS member countries will deliberate on key outcome documents and shared priorities. The meeting is part of India’s broader effort to place women-led development at the centre of multilateral engagement. This development is relevant because BRICS-related meetings often appear in questions on international groupings, women empowerment initiatives and India’s global diplomacy.
