India to Assume FATF Vice-Presidency
India will assume the Vice-Presidency of the Financial Action Task Force for the first time, with Vivek Aggarwal appointed for the July 2026-June 2027 term.
India is set to assume the Vice-Presidency of the Financial Action Task Force for the first time. Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, was appointed Vice-President for the term from July 2026 to June 2027. FATF is a major inter-governmental body working on anti-money laundering and counter-terror financing standards. The development strengthens India’s role in global financial governance and financial crime regulation.
