India’s Index of Industrial Production recorded 5.1 percent year-on-year growth in May 2026, led by 5.5 percent growth in manufacturing and 9.9 percent growth in electricity and gas supply.
MoSPI released the quick estimates of the All India Index of Industrial Production for May 2026 on 29 June. The ministry also said it has adopted Output PPI in place of WPI as the deflator for value-based item groups in the IIP basket.
