India’s annual defence production reached an all-time high of ₹1.78 lakh crore in FY 2025-26. The figure reflected a 15.6% growth over the previous fiscal year’s production of ₹1.54 lakh crore. Defence Public Sector Undertakings and other PSUs contributed about 76% of the total production, while the private sector contributed 24%. The data highlights the continuing push for Aatmanirbhar Bharat in defence manufacturing.
