India Launches Maritime Digital Reforms

India launched maritime digital reforms including the Logistics Port Performance Index and new digital governance platforms.

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways launched the Logistics Port Performance Index for FY 2024-25 along with digital maritime initiatives. The LPPI is designed to benchmark operational performance of Indian ports. The reforms include digital platforms for seafarer grievance redressal, ship registration and maritime service delivery. These initiatives support PM Gati Shakti, Maritime India Vision 2030 and Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.
