India-Israel BIA Comes Into Force
The Bilateral Investment Agreement between India and Israel entered into force on 4 July 2026. The agreement is intended to strengthen bilateral economic relations and provide a more secure and predictable investment climate.
The India-Israel BIA had been signed earlier and officially came into force with effect from 4 July 2026. Such agreements are important because they shape investor confidence, dispute frameworks and long-term capital flows between partner countries. For exam preparation, aspirants should distinguish between FTA, CEPA and BIA, as these terms are often asked in prelims-type questions. The development is relevant at the intersection of international relations and economic diplomacy.
