India Develops Indigenous 350 Kg Turbo Jet Engine

DRDO's Gas Turbine Research Establishment successfully developed India's first indigenous expendable turbo jet engine of 350 kg thrust class.

India achieved a major defence technology milestone with the successful development of the first indigenous expendable turbo jet engine in the 350 kg thrust class. The engine was designed by DRDO's Gas Turbine Research Establishment. Such engines are important for cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and other platforms requiring compact turbojet propulsion. The achievement is significant for Atmanirbhar Bharat in advanced defence manufacturing.
