India-Cyprus Joint Statement Issued

India and Cyprus issued a joint statement after bilateral talks between PM Narendra Modi and President Nikos Christodoulides in New Delhi.

President Nikos Christodoulides visited India from 20 to 23 May 2026. The two leaders held talks in New Delhi on 22 May 2026 and reviewed the renewed momentum in bilateral relations. The visit was significant because it took place during Cyprus’ Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The statement is relevant for India-EU relations, Mediterranean geopolitics and bilateral diplomacy.
