IAF Joins Exercise Pitch Black 2026

The Indian Air Force participated in Exercise Pitch Black 2026 in Australia from 20 July 2026. The multinational air combat exercise is hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force.

Exercise Pitch Black 2026 began in Australia on 20 July 2026 with participation from the Indian Air Force. The exercise is hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force and is one of Australia’s major multinational air combat drills. India’s participation strengthens interoperability, air combat readiness and defence cooperation with partner countries. Such exercises are important for understanding India’s military diplomacy and Indo-Pacific security engagement. Defence exercises are frequently asked in UPSC, SSC, Defence and State PSC examinations.
