Horticulture Production Estimated at 3777.76 Lakh Tonnes

The Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare released the Second Advance Estimates of horticultural crop area and production for 2025–26.

The Second Advance Estimates project India’s horticulture production at about 3777.76 lakh tonnes in 2025–26. The area under horticulture is expected to be about 301.51 lakh hectares. The estimate indicates higher production in fruits, vegetables, flowers and aromatic and medicinal crops. This is important because horticulture contributes to agricultural diversification, farmer income and food processing value chains.
