Health Ministry Reviews Disease Surveillance Programmes

The Union Health Ministry concluded a two-day national review meeting on disease surveillance and public health programmes in New Delhi.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organised a two-day National Review Meeting on Disease Surveillance and Public Health Programmes on 16-17 July 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening India’s preparedness against emerging public health threats. It reviewed disease surveillance systems, data-driven health response and Centre-State coordination. The outcome is important for public health governance, epidemic preparedness and health security in India.
