Gram Sabha Participation Study Report Released

A national study report on low participation in Gram Sabhas across States and Union Territories was released in New Delhi.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj released a two-volume national study report on low participation in Gram Sabhas. The report was prepared by the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj for the Ministry. It analyses barriers to citizen participation and provides policy recommendations to strengthen grassroots governance. The report also includes State and Union Territory-wise factors and best practices from 10 States.
