Government Accounts up to May 2026 Released

The Centre released the monthly review of Government of India accounts up to May 2026 for FY 2026-27.

The monthly accounts of the Government of India up to May 2026 were consolidated and published. Total receipts stood at ₹7,18,669 crore, which was 19.7% of the corresponding Budget Estimate for FY 2026-27. Total expenditure stood at ₹8,81,023 crore, equal to 16.5% of the corresponding Budget Estimate. These figures are important for fiscal deficit, public finance and budget-related exam questions.
