Global Online Yoga Event Announced for Record Attempt

The Ministry of Ayush announced a global online yoga event on 14 June 2026 aimed at setting a world record for the largest viewership of a YouTube live yoga stream.

The Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga and Habuild, announced a global online yoga event for 14 June 2026. The event was planned as part of the build-up to International Day of Yoga 2026. It aimed to set a world record for the most viewers for a YouTube live yoga stream. Participants from over 130 countries were expected to join, making it relevant for culture, health promotion and India’s soft power.
