Gadkari Reviews Highway Quality in Two States

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari reviewed the quality, maintenance and progress of National Highway works in Jharkhand and Uttarakhand, with special focus on monsoon preparedness and road safety.

The review covered 3,245 km of National Highways in Jharkhand and 4,026 km of National Highway projects in Uttarakhand. The ministry said the review was based on feedback from media reports and social media platforms. Gadkari directed officials to improve drainage, slope protection, preventive maintenance and rapid-response systems to minimise disruptions during the monsoon.
