ECI Holds First All India Media Conference

The Election Commission of India organised the first All India Media Conference 2026 on the role of media in elections.

The Election Commission of India organised the first All India Media Conference 2026 with over 380 media professionals from States and Union Territories. The conference theme was “Connecting stakeholders, strengthening democracy: Role of media in elections.” Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar addressed the participants and highlighted that elections in India are conducted as per the Constitution, electoral laws and ECI instructions. The conference also underlined the role of electoral rolls, Booth Level Officers and Booth Level Agents in supporting transparency in the electoral process.
