DAC Clears Defence Acquisitions Worth ₹52,000 Crore
The Defence Acquisition Council approved capital acquisition proposals worth about ₹52,000 crore to strengthen the combat readiness of the Indian Armed Forces.
The Defence Acquisition Council approved multiple capital acquisition proposals under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The procurements are intended to enhance the operational and combat capabilities of the Army, Navy and Air Force. The approval forms part of India’s continuing effort to modernise its defence forces and promote indigenous defence manufacturing. The proposals will proceed through the prescribed procurement and contracting process.
