Critical Mineral Auctions Reach 56 Blocks

The Ministry of Mines announced that 56 critical and strategic mineral blocks and 11 exploration licence blocks have been successfully auctioned.

The Ministry of Mines completed the seventh tranche of critical and strategic mineral block auctions, taking the total number of successfully auctioned blocks to 56. Ten blocks were auctioned under the seventh tranche, which included minerals such as Graphite, Rare Earth Elements, Vanadium, Titanium, Glauconite and Rock Phosphate. Critical mineral blocks were auctioned for the first time in Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Telangana by the Central Government. The development supports the National Critical Mineral Mission and aims to reduce import dependence in clean energy, electronics, defence and advanced manufacturing.
