Coal Gasification Roadshow Held in Mumbai

The Ministry of Coal organised the third roadshow on the scheme for promotion of surface coal and lignite gasification projects in Mumbai.

The roadshow was organised to promote investments in coal and lignite gasification projects. Coal gasification converts coal into syngas, which can be used for producing chemicals, fertilisers, fuels and other industrial inputs. The initiative supports India’s aim to reduce import dependence in certain chemical and energy sectors. It also links with cleaner coal utilisation and energy security.
