Centre releases ₹25,863 crore first installment for VB-G-RAM-G

The Union Rural Development Ministry released the first installment of ₹25,863 crore to states for VB-G-RAM-G. The government also stated that no state will have a wage rate below ₹300 per day under the rollout framework.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the fund release as part of the nationwide rollout of VB-G-RAM-G. The release emphasised timely wage payments, transparency and creation of quality assets. For government exam aspirants, the development is significant because it combines rural employment, fiscal support to states and implementation features of a flagship rural development programme.
