CCS-NIAH Gets Expanded Vaccine Testing Role

The government expanded Central Drugs Laboratory functions at CCS-NIAH, Baghpat for veterinary vaccine testing.

The government notified amendments to the Drugs Rules, 1945 to expand veterinary biological testing at Chaudhary Charan Singh-National Institute of Animal Health, Baghpat. Earlier, CCS-NIAH was notified for testing only two veterinary vaccines. Its scope has now been expanded to 42 veterinary vaccines. The move is expected to strengthen vaccine quality assurance, reduce testing timelines and support livestock productivity.
