CCEA Approves Delhi NH-148AE Road Tunnel

The CCEA approved an 8.1 km 6-lane road tunnel linking Dwarka Expressway with Nelson Mandela Marg in Delhi at a cost of Rs 6969.67 crore.

The project will connect NH-148AE with the Dwarka Expressway and Nelson Mandela Marg in Vasant Kunj. It has been approved under the NH(O) scheme on Hybrid Annuity Mode. The tunnel is intended to ease traffic congestion and improve access between major transport corridors in Delhi. It is significant for questions on urban infrastructure, public investment and highway development models.
