Cabinet Clears Semicon 2.0 Programme

The Union Cabinet approved Semicon 2.0 to provide long-term policy support for semiconductor manufacturing in India.

Semicon 2.0 was approved by the Union Cabinet to accelerate India's semiconductor ecosystem. The programme focuses on strengthening fabrication, packaging, design and supply chains. It supports the country's objective of achieving technological self-reliance and becoming a global semiconductor hub.
