Cabinet Clears Kanpur-Kabrai NH-34 Corridor Project

The Cabinet approved the 4/6-lane access-controlled Kanpur-Kabrai section of NH-34 in Uttar Pradesh at a total capital cost of Rs 7145.14 crore.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved construction of the Kanpur-Kabrai section of NH-34 on BOT (Toll) mode. The project is designed as a 4-lane access-controlled corridor with provision for future 6-laning. It is expected to improve regional connectivity in Uttar Pradesh and support faster movement of passengers and freight. Such highway approvals are important for infrastructure and logistics-related exam questions.
