BRICS Urbanisation Forum Adopts Ministerial Declaration

The 13th BRICS Urbanisation Forum concluded in New Delhi with a declaration on inclusive, resilient and people-centred urban development.

The 13th BRICS Urbanisation Forum concluded at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan in New Delhi under India’s BRICS Chairship 2026. The forum adopted a Ministerial Declaration focused on inclusive, sustainable, resilient and liveable cities. Member nations welcomed India’s proposal to establish the BRICS Urban Research and Knowledge Network for applied urban research and knowledge-sharing. The forum also presented good practices from BRICS countries under the theme ‘Cities for People’.
