BRICS ICT Working Group Meets

The Department of Telecommunications organised the second BRICS Working Group meeting for cooperation in ICTs under India’s BRICS Presidency 2026.

The meeting focused on resilient digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, future networks and Digital Public Infrastructure. India also advanced discussions on BRICS Capacity Building Centres and digital cooperation for the Global South. The event is important because BRICS cooperation increasingly includes technology governance and digital inclusion. It is useful for questions on India’s multilateral technology diplomacy.
